Hnauman Grahi is situated 2 km away from Bairav Garhi. Lord Shiva is worshiped in Bhairav Garhi in his bhairav (dangerous) form while in the Hanuman temple, Lord Shiva is worshiped in the Hanuman form. A month long festival is organized by the locals during monsoon every year.
Distance: The distance from Lansdowne to Kirtikhal is approximately 18 km. Tourists will have to first reach Gumkhal and then from Gumkhal to Kirtikhal.

Bhim Pakora

Bhim Pakora derived its name from the hero of Mahabharata, Bhim who was the second Pandava brother. It is believed that the rocks are in the shape of pakora which is an Indian dish and it’s in place till date though it can be removed with a single finger.

Bhulla Tal

In Garhwali language, Bhulla refers to a younger brother. It is an artificial lake in Lansdowne which is dedicated to the youth of Garhwali rifles. The environment around the lake is very calm and soothing and tourists can enjoy the beautiful gardens, trekking and boating.

Darwan Singh Museum

The museum is dedicated to the first Indian recipient of the Victoria Cross, Darwan Singh Negi. Special collection of Garhwali rifles are displayed in the regimental museum of Darwan Singh Museum.

Durga Devi Temple

The temple is located 25 km before reaching Lansdowne and is dedicated to Goddess Durga. A natural stream flows down below the temple and this attracts more tourists because of its cool and soothing surrounding.

Jwalpa Devi Temple

Located 47 km from Lansdowne on the Kotwara Road, the temple is dedicated to Devi Jwalpa. The temple is visited frequently by the local people with devotion and is considered for fulfilling wishes. A visit to the temple will definitely refresh your soul.

Tiffin Top

Tiffin Top is a famous picnic spot situated 3 km from Lansdowne. Tourists can enjoy the magical view of the Himalayan ranges and of the neighboring villages. Tiffin top is at an elevation of 1950 meters above sea level.

Santoshi Mata Temple

The temple is located a kilometer away from Tiffin Top in Lansdowne. Dedicated to Goddess Santoshi, the location of the temple is an ideal location for prayer and meditation.

St. John’s Church

It was built in the year 1934 as a Roman Catholic Church and it is the only church in Lansdowne.

St. Mary’s Church

The church was built in 1895 by Colonel A.H.B. Hume but the Church was not used after Independence in 1947. Later it was converted into museum by the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Center. Tourists can know about the regiment’s history from the audio-visual clips in the museum.

Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple

Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple is located 36 km from Lansdowne among deodar and pine forests. It is 1800 meters above sea level. Every year during Shivaratri there is a special ceremony celebrated in Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple.
